The Varsity Baseball team continued their season on Saturday and defeated Bishop Dwenger 2-1 in the Regional at Carroll to advance to next Saturday's Semi-State at LaPorte. The knights out hit the Saints 9-2 but had to manufacture a couple runs for the win. In the 5th, Trey Privett reached on a bunt single and then a double by Drew Graft drove him in. The Saints scored in the bottom half to tie it up. In the sixth, Korben Neuenschwander reached on a single and Adam McBride moved him to 2nd on a sac bunt. After a walk by Schamerloh, Trey Privett got a single to right to score Garry Riley who was running for Neuenschwander. Noah Turk pitched the first five innings for the win and Dylan Schism pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the save. The Knights will play Northwood at 1:30 Eastern Time in game 2 of the 3A North Semi-State at LaPorte on Saturday.
